FAQ

Below is a quick list of some of the most commonly asked questions. For a more complete list, please visit the FAQ Page.

I’ve uploaded the plugin and activated, but it’s not showing up or it’s broken :(

This is normally due to styles in your WordPress theme overriding the styles of the plugin. Check your theme’s stylesheet for rules like !important; as these may be overriding the styles defined by the plugin.

My favorite bookmarking site isn’t listed!

You can use the Feature Request Form to send the name of the site and the URL, and I will work on releasing it with a future update.

I’m a WordPress theme developer, and I’d like to bundle your plugin with my themes. Is this okay?

Absolutely! Please just let me know where the themes will be released so that I can post about it on my site as well!

I’ve found a bug not covered here, where do I report it?

Please report all bugs via the Bug Report Form for quickest response and notation time. Otherwise, you can choose to email me at: support[at]shareaholic[dot]com

Hello Josh,

Is it possible to implement these bookmarks without Wordpress installation? I would like to get this done using only javascript, html and CSS.
Please advise.

You'll have to put a check in the box under the Twittley icon, then "advanced options" for Twittley will appear in the box below.

However, I've just now (like 2 seconds ago) released version 2.5.2.3 which fixes that issue and you won't have to worry about it anymore.

I may be a fool, but I cannot find where to add a tag to the Twittley tags box. I have the same error message too but can't get rid of that darned little twitty thing!

Major bummer that I cannot use the sexybookmarks now.

Hey Josh,

Can you please guide me through the fix to the Twitter Friendly Links?

Thanks, appreciate it

Twittley is already added! It's the light blue icon with three dark blue dots...

I've had a couple of reports of this, but I cannot seem to recreate it... I will look into it, but for now you can simply leave Twittley unchecked and type a single word into the default tags box... Then save your changes... This will be a temporary fix until I can find the bug and fix it.

Hey Josh,

The plugin installs/activates fine... but every time I hit 'Save Changes' on the config screen I get the error: "You need to set at least 1 default tag for any articles submitted to Twittley," even though I de-selected Twittley from my included icons. Any ideas?

Also will you be adding a "Twittley" button? :P

The email option has been disabled for the moment...

I'm working on an option which will open a modal window and allow the user to email the article directly from that window rather than using a simple "mailto" function.

It will be reinstated once this option has been worked out.

hallo mr josh??ive a problem,
ive donload it and try to extract in my desktop but it contain error..
from http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/sexybookmarks/
just info...
sorry cos im no good in english...
thanks see ya

thank you for the update and many compliments to this great plugin.

Everything works fine - but I miss the "e-mail-this" function. In previous versions it was included, now it isn't shown any more(?)

Found the problem, will guide you through fixing it if you'd like... Otherwise, you'll have to wait until I gather enough bug fixes to warrant another update/release

Hmm, thanks for letting me know. I will take a look into it as soon as I get home from work.

Seems that now doesn't work with Twitter Friendly Links !
