I can’t even count how many times you guys have asked me for a feature where you can edit/change the plugin without LOSING those changes each time you update… Well, your time has come. Edit away! Go ahead! Write your own CSS and JS. Make your own nifty images. Heck, you can do pretty much whatever you want with it now and not worry about losing any of it the next time you upgrade!

As with any new feature, I’m sure there will be those of you who have trouble with this one… but never fear, I will do my best to figure out problems as they arise. So, that being said… Here’s a list of everything that’s happened in the latest version:

    Your plugins is the only one sending me such a text, but I’m relly not interested in an update, because everything is working fine and I’m totally glad with it. And I don’t have any support requests :D

    I just updated this and it looks like Twitter Friendly Links isn’t working with it anymore. The Tweet This button is sending the full long permalink. It might just be me though.

    After the update the URL Shortener is not working anymore … i have the bit.ly on and user/api added ..

    how cool is that :)

    Mortiz all what you need to do i think is to edit this line :

    // Display notice if versions don’t match

    add_action( ‘admin_notices’, ‘sexy_upgrade_notice’);

    comment it and it should work

    After the upgrade. My footer disappeared and RSS feed widget on the sidebar did not show up too.

    The admin page for Sexy Bookmarks shows a blank page for some weird reason.

    I have deactivated the plugin for now. Is it possible for you to share the link to V2.5.5?

    Would appreciate your help.

    I’ve updated bookmark but I cannot see the new icons. i’ve removed the cach and cookies. But no new icon like hyves are there. What im I doing wrong?

    Unfortunately no. There are literally thousands of people who refuse to update the plugin who do send me bug reports every day. Most of the things they report as being “wrong” could have been fixed by simply upgrading to the latest version of the plugin. That’s why that message is there… To help reduce the support emails I get everyday by people who don’t bother to update to the latest version to receive the latest bug fixes before they send me a support request. Sorry!

    Yes, by commenting out this line you will remove the upgrade notice. I was simply saying that I was not going to remove the function from the plugin all together.

    V2.5.5.1 works without causing any conflicts.

    Though still can’t view the admin page.

    The plugin works fine otherwise.

    If you updated to 2.6.0.1 then you won’t see any new icons because we had to roll the plugin back to it’s previous state due to some severe bugs.

    Yes, Pusha had been added in v2.6.0 but due to the severity of the bugs in that version, we had to rollback to the previous version with a new number.

    Currently the plugin is only available for WordPress, Joomla, and bbPress. However, there are plans in the works to make a non-specific version that can be included in/on any publishing platform. This will take some time to develop though, so it won’t be in the very near future.

    There’s no particular line of the sidebar.php file to enter the code… It all depends on where you would like SexyBookmarks to be displayed (if in fact you do want it displayed in the sidebar).
