Janet AronicaNo Referrals, No Puppies. Just An Amazing Opportunity. (We’re Hiring!)

Startups are in a talent war.

Like star athletes being woo’d by recruiters, developers are highly-sought after team members. Attracting the right culture fit plus technical talent from college or corporate life is tough. It’s no wonder our fellow startups use a wide array of campaigns to draw in talent, from recruiters, $10,000 referral bonuses, $10,001 referral bonuses and even puppies.

We have a different philosophy. Rather than get you excited about a plethora of tangential perks, we want to you to be excited about what you’ll actually be doing every day as a member of our team. We have a big data content sharing system that reaches more than 250 million readers each month through our exploding publishers network of more than 200,000. The team is smart, scrappy and small – which means you’ll have a big voice in our direction and a huge opportunity for growth and leadership. Considering starting your own company one day? Come learn how to grow a business by joining our newly-funded rocketship.

We’re currently looking for:

Distribution Lead (Boston)

Senior Software Engineer (Boston)

Architect (New Delhi)

Our dream team of investors include General Catalyst Partners, Nextview Ventures, Boston Seed/Nicole Stata, Dave McClure (500 Startups), Dharmesh Shah (HubSpot), Stephano Kim (X+1), David Cancel (Compete, Performable), Brian Shin (Visible Measures), Prof. Ed Roberts (MIT Sloan, Sohu), Roy Rodenstein (HackerAngels), Jonathan Kraft (The Kraft Group), and more.

We’ve grown the company so far on a boot-strapped budget and with limited resources. We’ve achieved unbelievable progress, earning 2 million browser plugin installs and reaching more than 250 million visitors through hundreds of thousands of websites. This round will enable us to lay a solid foundation of building a game changing company by scaling our team and resources to expand on our current traction and growth.

Lots more to come!

Shareaholic is two years young. For much of this time we have kept mostly under the radar and heads down building. Here is our product report card thus far:

For the first year it was just me and contractors cranking out product, marketing, and distribution. We were intentionally super scrappy. Then all our incredible hard work started to pay big dividends towards the end of last year. We started to hit our stride. Our operating metrics started accelerating and beating all forecasts. Day after day we started setting new records (and continue to do so)!

To keep up with all this, in January, I opened an office in India and recruited some of the best. By the summer it was clear that the trajectory that Shareaholic found itself on dictated that we also start building the very best team in Boston. The timing was perfect.

Today, I am pleased to formally announce that our small team at Shareaholic is growing quickly and I could not be more excited to welcome William Sulinski and Robby Grossman to Team Shareaholic!

There is no greater feeling than having others believe in something you created and want to make it their own. I am honored and extraordinarily proud to stand alongside the incredibly smart and talented team of peers that now make up Shareaholic.

I love this Steve quote:

“Great things in business are never done by one person, they are done by a team of people.” – Steve Jobs

Lots more to come! And yes, if you are looking to join a fast growing company, you should ping any one of us!
